TRAVEL

Planes, trains and automobiles

Here is some guidance for those of you making your way to our festivities from afar.

If you need more specific help, feel free to contact Anthony or Lisa and we can help you plan the best route.

BY AIR

For our guests arriving from outside Europe, Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO) is the nearest airport with the most international connections. FCO is 2 hours away by rail from Rome Termini (Central Station), or 2hrs 30 minutes by car.

For guests arriving from Europe, Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) is another option and is 2hrs 15 minutes by car, or 2hrs 30 by rail direct to Assisi.

The nearest airport to the venue is Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi Airport (PEG). British Airways, Ryanair, Wizz Air and Transavia fly there, and it is a 23 minute drive from the venue.

We recommend using the Hopper app to monitor the best time to book flights.

Depending on demand, we can organise a shuttle from FCO and FLR to the venue on the afternoon of Friday the 4th of July, and back on Sunday the 6th of July. If you are interested in this, please mention it in your RSVP.

BY RAIL

Assisi, the nearest town to Castello di Petrata, is easily accessible by rail, and the venue is a 15 minute taxi ride away.

From Rome

From Roma Termini, a direct train takes approximately 2 hours to Assisi. The direct train is the train for Perugia.

From FLORENCE

From Florence Santa Maria Novella, the train takes roughly 2 hours 40. The direct train is in the direction of Foglino.

From ABROAD

For those interested in taking a train all the way, we can recommend planning with All Aboard (but double check the connection times!)
